About 20 children from the Neil S. Hirsch Family Boys & Girls Club in Wellington will help to release butterflies this afternoon in the conservatory at The Mall at Wellington Green.
The live butterfly conservatory opened in the mall’s grand court this month. The special attraction will be at the mall through April 3.
The 300-square-foot conservatory offers staff-guided tour in on-site butterfly house; information about the anatomy of the butterfly, its life cycle and ecosystem; opportunities to see a butterfly hatch from the chrysalis; and complimentary craft projects, the mall’s website says. Visitors will also get the chance to feed a butterfly, the mall said.
Admission is $6 for adults and $5 for children. Children under the age of 2 are free with adult admission, according to the mall’s website.
